How to remove a lost password from a PST file

I had a call from a user today who had forgotten her password to a couple of PST files. I was about to look at some commercial software when I came across this great process on Slipstick that will remove the password completely. The caveat is that it won’t work with Outlook 2003’s Unicode format PST.

  1. For PST recovery I have often used , I don’t think I have been let down by it as yet.

    Good blog.

  2. Try next program, possble it may can you-outlook pst password recovery, do something recovers passwords for password-protected Microsoft Outlook data files (files with the *.pst extension) that the Microsoft Outlook mail client uses to store user data (contacts, messages, reminders, notes, tasks), tool recovers passwords and visualizes account settings of the Microsoft Outlook mail client for the following mail accounts and services, can be used to recover passwords to mail accounts and also to display the mail and service settings of all versions of the Microsoft Outlook mail client: (starting from Microsoft Outlook 97 to Microsoft Outlook 2007).

  3. I prefer to use Outlook Password Recovery program. It can recover Outlook email account passwords, as well as retrieving Outlook .pst file password. It’s worth a try.
